That's Saxxy, Dan

Saxxy Dan grew up across the street from where Anthony and Vinnie practiced in the original "garage band".  Dan diligently attended every practice as a child from age 6 years old to 9 years old.  Dan asked if he could join the band.  Vinnie, "the mean one", says "get lost kid you're buggin' me".  But Anthony, "the good one" says, "sure Dan, go ask your parents to buy you a sax".

With a confused look on his face Dan turned and walked away.  Actually he disappeared for about 10 yrs.  Then at the age of 19 he showed up at practice with case in hand.  Dan says "I've played 6 hours a day for the past 10 years.  Can you work with me?

"Vinnie "the bad one" chuckles, shakes his head and says "NO". Anthony, "the good one", says "C'mon in Dan ...let's check it out."  Synergy kicks off with a smokin' tune,  Dan pulls out his horn and joins the jam.  At this point Vinnie cracks a smile and Anthony was in awe. We finished the tune.  Vinnie, showing no emotion, says "you're in." Anthony, puzzled at this point says, "Sorry Dan, you are way too good for us.  You need to find a better band." Saddened by this, Dan left once again with tears in his eyes feeling as though he wasted 10 years of his life to fulfill his dream.  A couple of days later we received a phone call from Dave Hayden.  Dave says "Dan is a graduate from Hayden school of music...He ain't that good". So we started to ponder, maybe he can come down to our level.  After doing a background check, we found out he performed with ELO, Duke Ellington Band, Billy Joel and Clyde Saxton Band.  Immediately we thought Dave is right...He can't be that good.

So, after reconsidering, Vinnie and Anthony jumped into their Chevy Vega and headed to Miami, Florida to visit Dan at his condo.  Upon arrival, Dan was by the pool in his courtyard sipping iced tea.  Surrounded by a dozen beautiful playmates Dan an Hugh where visiting. Dan stood up to greet us wearing only a smile on his face...The rest is history.

Henceforth, That's Saxxy, Dan
